Tomorrow's (10/5/11) march has widespread union support, support from left-wing groups such as MoveOn.org and a planned Occupy Colleges walk out. I haven't heard much speculation as of yet regarding the numbers (although I did hear someone say that the original goal of 20,000 in NYC did not seem out of reach).
In addition to the 10/5/11 march, the occupation of Washington DC - an occupation plan that has been in the works for months - begins on 10/6/11. I'm trying to get a sense of the numbers through twitter, but my guess is that they'll have a pretty impressive initial occupation.
So, my sense is that by 10/6/11, we'll have a good idea of whether this movement has the momentum it appears to have.
